Everything has a purpose, clocks tell you the time, trains takes you to places. I’d imagine the whole world was one big machine. Machines never come with any extra parts, you know. They always come with the exact amount they need. So I figured if the entire world was one big machine… I couldn’t be an extra part. I had to be here for some reason. And that means you have to be here for some reason, too.

I’m only about 20 minutes into the movie, and I’ve already shed so many tears. It’s struck a cord right in the center of my being, and rings so true in my life. I’ve been in that head over heels long distance relationship place with all the struggles, and it’s a hard thing to revisit.
One of the worst feelings is leaving the one that you love on that final trip to the airport, and the loss that’s left behind. The movie portrays that perfectly.You think just because there’s bad people that there’s no good ones either
I thought the same thing for a while.

Finally getting around to seeing this. So excited. I can’t wait for it to remind me of my childhood with all the great Spielberg and Monsters Club feels.
Started this about an hour ago. Was immediately intrigued by that fact that Tom Hardy is in the starring role. Nick Nolte is doing a pretty great job so far. Good to see him acting again.
Seeing how this came it in 2004, I’m a little late to the game watching it but now is the time.
Got the Chinese food ready, scrubs on, and weed on standby.
Currently watching.
I love Amanda Seyfried and my hopes are high for this flick. Look forward to a review later.

paranormal activity 3
So my sister and I have a thing of watching a ton of movies and playing video games when I’m home and this one has been no different.
Tonight it was the above mentioned Paranormal Activity 3. I have kind of become a fan of the series since my sister introduced me to the original one, again, on a trip home that I made. I found it kinda cool how our of the first two this unexpected story kind of popped up that really interested me.
I was really looking forward to the conclusion of the mystery of it all, and I was let down. The actually reasoning behind what happened throughout all the movies tied together well, it wasn’t satisfying. I can’t really put my finger on as to why though.

Ok, so what do we think about this?
I have to say that, contrary to popular belief, I was a big fan of the Brandon Routh Superman reboot. Superman was super broody in that one, but what superhero with the world almost literally on their shoulders wouldn’t be?
The costume I can get on board with but I’m getting a little bit tired of this spandex skin trend that seems to be going on in Hollywood superhero movies these days.

There are few animated movies that can cause an actual emotional reaction in me quite like this movie can.
I only saw it once in the movie theaters and just again last night and this morning, and I get choked up every time that these two events in the movie happen:
1) When his Dad says he’s proud of Hiccup (insert my Daddy issues here)
2) When the Vikings cheer Hiccup on fighting “something” at the end of the movie
If you haven’t seen this movie yet, you have a free invite to my house to watch it. It will never get old for me.
